Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain

Summary: A deliciously funny, delectably shocking banquet of wild-but-true tales of life in the culinary trade from Chef Anthony Bourdain, laying out his more than a quarter-century of drugs, sex, and haute cuisine—now with all-new, never-before-published material.

New York Chef Tony Bourdain gives away secrets of the trade in his wickedly funny, inspiring memoir/expose. Kitchen Confidential reveals what Bourdain calls “twenty-five years of sex, drugs, bad behavior and haute cuisine.”

My Review:  I just love Anthony Bourdain in fact he is 100% responsible for why I am in currently in Chengdu China vs at home in my bed looking for a job.   I watched his episode where he spent time in Chengdu eating amazing noodles and I fell in love and well tickets were cheap and BAM I am back in China.

That being said I had high expectations for this book and I can say they were all met.  I loved this book and I loved the fact that it was Kindle Unlimited even more… a great book that I can read on my subscription service is always a win.

This book is a very fun expose on the world of food and while I am not a foodie I enjoyed every minute of this book.  I know I am a sucker for expose books on any industry… yes I know what that might say about me as a human.

Overall this was a great book and I can’t wait to read the next books by Anthony Bourdain and if you are a foodie I highly suggest you read this book.
