Mystic Tan the cruelty free glow.

Seriously I am so pale, I make vampires look dark.   So when it comes time for summer I always seek that warm summer glow but often can’t get it without the burn.   I am also not the biggest fan of tanning cause well,  I want to freeze my face at 30.

When I tanned for my wedding I went all out, I used both tanning beds sunless tan.   I knew I just had to be a deep dark brown so I looked amazing in the dress.  After the wedding I decided I would freeze the account in case I wanted to go back and tan.  So for $7.50 a month I froze my account and just let the dollars accumulate into my account.  That was three years ago, I realized this the other day when I went to look at my credit card statement and saw the freeze charge.

I was like heck yeah, I can tan this summer.  I have tons of tan dollars.  Then I remembered that I am focused on using cruelty free products, and immediately I thought whoa… is Mystic tan cruelty free????

Why yes, yes it is.

In fact, it is …

Gluten Free  •  Paraben Free  •  Cruelty Free  •  Non-Comedogenic

YAY!  So I decided I would spray tan and then continue to use it through the summer for that lovely glow without the burn.  I can use SPF 50 all summer and not burn, woohoo!

So here let me show you some silly selfie before and after pics (cause I love silly selfie face, YOLO)

I am stuck in a cubicle in the second pic so that is why I have that face, welcome to my life peeps. It does have a slight red hue, but I have gotten numerous compliments with this tan. In fact, one of my co-workers said “I don’t know what it is about you lately, but you have gotten so pretty” Not sure if I should be offended or not… but eh I will take what I can get.

If you spray tan, make sure you exfoliate well and shave & wax BEFORE you get your tan, afterwards make sure you moisturize.   There are so many tips out there so research and find the best for your skin type.  I forgot to really moisturize and wash my hands so I have “spray tan” palms.  Whoops.  Oh well, I will live.  🙂 So don’t be like me, make sure you scrub scrub scrub.

Do you like spray tanning????

  1. Wow, you look awesome! Your skin is flawless! Sunless tanning is certainly an excellent alternative to tanning under harmful rays. Whether it be in the sun or in a tanning bed, these rays pose a lot of risks. Sunless tanning is an awesome way to achieve a bronzed glow! Nice work! Thanks for sharing these!

    1. ha! thanks, mystic tan and Trader Joe’s vitamin E oil are pretty much all I use on my skin. I prefer sunless tanning especially since you don’t really get “orange” anymore! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Wow, I love how this looks! It definitely brings a warmth to your face and the fact that it is cruelty free is probably my favorite part. I am always looking for something good on my face that is also cruelty free. Thanks for sharing! Awesome results!
