Summary: It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime, a final adventure before settling down.
After a perfect start, Daniel and Laura’s travels end abruptly when they are thrown off a night train in the middle of nowhere. To find their way back to civilisation, they must hike along the tracks through a forest…a haunting journey that ends in unimaginable terror.
Back in London, Daniel and Laura vow never to talk about what they saw that night. But as they try to fit back into their old lives, it becomes clear that their nightmare is just beginning…
Follow You Home is a chilling tale of secrets, lies and deadly consequences from the author of #1 bestsellers The Magpies and Because She Loves Me.
My review: OK, so I must admit, as a girl that is wanting to go to Europe very soon, this may not have been the best book to read.
This book is creepy as all hell and was not what I expected. At all.
The characters were very well developed and this book made Girl on a Train look like child play. There is rape. So be prepared for that. Sorry to spoil but that is one spoiler I always share as you know victims can be triggered with that sort of thing.
The writing in this book is top notch and the story flowed, I found myself constantly needing to know what the hell happened in Romania… and when I found out, I was sick to my stomach… and like hmmm maybe Romania doesn’t need to be so high on my list. Just kidding, I totally can’t wait to go to Romania.
This was a fantastic read and I can’t wait to read additional work from this author!
