Chasing a Mountain

Oh we must go to Snow Bowl Mountain!

I can’t tell you how much I heard this on my road trip with the family, so much that I was ready to go to get it over with.  I am not really a big fan of snow, but the ski lifts were apparently fun, and I figured why not.

Except it was closed.

In October, apparently a lot of ski  resorts like to prepare for ski season so they often close their lifts, and they had just closed the day before. As I am someone who prefers the tropics, sunshine & coconut oil I did not know this.

So I just assumed this was a next time, type of situation, but I forgot my mother was along for the drive and at every chance, would take a picture of the mountain.

And I do mean EVERY chance…

Oh pull over!  Pull over… slow down slow down, or pull over again!

At the time it was annoying, I mean we had a Grand Canyon to get to, but looking at the pictures now, well the pics make me smile, it reminds me of my mother who I don’t see as often as I like, and because, looking back it is often those annoying moments that happen to be the moments you remember forever.

Here is the infamous Snow Bowl Mountain, and believe me if I ever make it back to Arizona, I will have to check it out, because from a distance the mountain is beautiful, so I can only imagine what experiencing it up close is like.
