Belize was the second port of call we visited on the cruise. After an amazing day zip lining in Honduras, I knew Belize was going to have big shoes to fill. I expected to like Belize.
What I did NOT expect was to fall in love with Belize the minute I stepped off the boat.
It was instantaneous, the moment I stepped off the boat onto another, it was as if a jolt of electricity went through me, and I felt like I was home.
I am not well traveled and I suspect I will have many other places in my life I get this feeling. I have had one other experience like this in my 31 years, that experience being the moment I stepped off the bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC 8 years ago.
So when I had this feeling I knew I would love every moment of Belize.
It was stormy, it was cloudy, there was not a single ounce of sunshine… but I knew Belize would be amazing.
It was love at first sight, and I only had 10 hours to make the best of it.
We went snorkeling in the Belize Barrier Reef. Sadly I didn’t take very many pictures of this adventure because I do not have a waterproof camera, but the Belize Barrier Reef was amazing. It was magical.
The people of Belize were the most breathtakingly beautiful people I have ever met. I have never met so many genuine passionate kind people at one time…
What can I say? I have been completely enchanted by Belize, and you better Belize I will be back 😉
